CITASA supports crime prevention initiatives, with a specific focus on combating cash-in-transit robbery-related crimes. As crime levels often increase towards the end of the year, effective prevention requires strong collaboration and a coordinated approach between law enforcement, industry stakeholders, and community partners. In support of these efforts, CITASA attended the police National Safer Festive Season Launch Operations in 2024. The Minister of Police officially launched the Safer Festive Season Operations in Mamelodi, Gauteng, in October, marking the start of intensified law enforcement activities aimed at ensuring safety during the festive period.
